Penguins blank Sabres in Buffalo

It was a great matchup last night in HSBC Arena when Pittsburgh came to visit the Sabres. The rookie goaltender Jhonas Enroth were between the pipes, Ryan Miller still out with a groin injury. The rookie did some quality saves but was fooled by Pascal Dupuis snap shot from a pass from Sidney Crosby. He stole the puck from Sabres Luke Adam and succesfully found Dupuis who gave Pittsburgh the lead with under five minutes left in the first period. There were a lot of chances for both teams with a lot of emotions on the ice. Paul Gaustad and Maxime Talbot were involved in a scrum in the first period.

The Sabres couldn´t seem to score and went 0 for 3 on the powerplay. Marc-AndrĂ© Fleury played stellar and got the shutout stopping 30 shots, giving Pittsburgh the 1-0 win. The shots on goal were 29-30 in favor of the Sabres. They are now last in the Northeast Division with a home record of 3-8-1.
