Black Eyed Peas i halvtid

Awfulness in San Jose

The Blackhawks got a crushing defeat by the Sharks last night in California. Antti Niemi were in goal for San Jose and the tables had turned. Six months ago, he was on a Stanley-Cup-winners-to-be team. Yesterday, he played for the devil. But we will not sit down and cry like sissies. Marty Turco is a great and talented goalie, so save your tears people. Things didn´t look good on the ice though. The Blackhawks lost 5-2 with goals from Jake Dowell and Patrick Sharp for Chicago. Let´s forget this mess and our former finish goaltender. It is a long season, thank god for that.

Penguins blank Sabres in Buffalo

It was a great matchup last night in HSBC Arena when Pittsburgh came to visit the Sabres. The rookie goaltender Jhonas Enroth were between the pipes, Ryan Miller still out with a groin injury. The rookie did some quality saves but was fooled by Pascal Dupuis snap shot from a pass from Sidney Crosby. He stole the puck from Sabres Luke Adam and succesfully found Dupuis who gave Pittsburgh the lead with under five minutes left in the first period. There were a lot of chances for both teams with a lot of emotions on the ice. Paul Gaustad and Maxime Talbot were involved in a scrum in the first period.

The Sabres couldn´t seem to score and went 0 for 3 on the powerplay. Marc-André Fleury played stellar and got the shutout stopping 30 shots, giving Pittsburgh the 1-0 win. The shots on goal were 29-30 in favor of the Sabres. They are now last in the Northeast Division with a home record of 3-8-1.

Coyotes crush the Oilers

Edmonton Oilers were crushed by the Phoenix Coyotes last night in Arizona. We all know that the Oilers have been struggling this season and it looks like it continues. Tom Renney can´t be pleased with his team, having won only five games during regulation. Meanwhile, the Coyotes have won seven straight games now with a confidence boost. Ilya Bryzgalov had a shutout last night in Jobing.com Arena. Lee Stempniak and Martin Hanzal both had two goals each for Phoenix who now leads the Pacific Division.
